pom.xmlThis major version upgrade from Flink 1.19.1 to 2.0.1 introduces significant breaking changes, including API removals, Java version requirements, and configuration file updates. State compatibility between 1.x and 2.x is not guaranteed. Highlights: API Removals: The DataSet API, Scala DataStream API, and legacy Source/Sink APIs (SourceFunction, SinkFunction) have been completely removed. Code must be migrated to the DataStream API and the new Source/Sink V2 APIs. Java Version: Support for Java 8 has been dropped. Java 11 is now the minimum required version, and Java 17 is the new recommended default. Configuration: The legacy flink-conf.yaml is no longer supported and must be migrated to the standard config.yaml format. Source: Apache Flink official documentation and release announcements. Recommendation: A thorough migration is required. Developers must update Java versions, rewrite code using the new APIs, and convert configuration files before merging this upgrade.
